Urban ArtWorks partnered with the City of Burien Economic Development team to launch the Burien Tourism Mural Art Program. Through this initiative, 12 professionally designed murals are coming to Burien’s commercial districts, celebrating local artists, supporting businesses, and shaping public spaces throughout the city. We’re excited to share more about the murals and artists in this series of posts.

The mural is located at Taqueria Jalisco, a welcoming, family-friendly Mexican restaurant serving authentic flavors made fresh daily. The menu features tacos, burritos, hearty soups, seafood, and sizzling plates, alongside refreshing drinks and options for the whole family.

The mural transforms the wall into a portal focused on a playful and enchanted garden where a soft bunny is chasing a slithering snake. The super-size scale leans into the surreal vision, along with a petal frame that borders and clouds that break in and out of the scene. The design invites viewers into a scene that extends beyond the wall and into the sky.
